What Matters Most (TV Edition)

Take 15 minutes to educate yourself

Are you asking the right questions or burning your money on a land fill product?

There are too many TV brands and offers out there for the customer these days. What’s the difference between a $699 4K 65″ TV and a $2,999 4K 65″ TV? They’re both 4K… but that’s like asking, “What’s the difference between a $10,000 car and a $45,000 car if they both have 4 wheels and get you from point A to point B?” We aren’t here to judge anybody or wax poetic about the virtues of more expensive product. That’s not who we are, but the truth is that there is a lot of junk on the market and cheap TV panels that are vying for your hard earned (cliche phrase alert!) money. This is a fact. Cheap, no name Chinese manufacturing companies are paying a small license fee to use a retired name brand on their panels. The original company makes licensing dollars without any investment and the new manufacturer provides a fake name brand that used to exist, but no longer does.

Here’s our advice: shop around and do your research. We do carry some cheap entry level panels like most of the competitors, but unlike them we focus on selling you the product that is right for you and will give you good dollar value to your goal. We do not take the path of least resistance. We want you to walk out of our store with a great investment in the long run. Ask yourself the following: What type of processor does this TV have for smart features like streaming Netflix or Prime, and will that app still be working 2 years after launch? Is it future proof with HDMI 2.1 for better quality? Does it support HDR…real HDR like HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision+? Is the TV full array or edge lit (There is a massive difference!). 60Hz native panel or 120Hz native panel? These are important questions and that’s why we are committing to Hisense, LG and Samsung as our premier partners for 2021. They provide selection, picture quality and aggressive pricing to help you get the best TV for your price.
